Cal State Northridge has signed Ed Franco, a defensive tackle from Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, bringing to 10 the number of junior college football players the Matadors have signed this month.
Franco, 6-2, 230 pounds, started on a Saddleback team that was 9-2 last fall. At El Toro High, he was All-South Coast League at nose guard.
Pat Degnan, a Northridge assistant, said a signed letter of intent from Bill McDonald, a second-team junior college All-American, also had arrived in the mail. McDonald, a 6-2, 186-pound free safety, verbally committed to play for the Matadors last week.
