Azusa : Orphans’ Fund Donation

The City Council has donated $2,000 to a fund for Byron and Brenda Cruz, who were orphaned by a December auto accident.
The donation will be added to $1,905 collected by classmates and friends at Henry Dalton Elementary School and an undisclosed sum in a trust fund at American Savings & Loan Assn.
Byron, 12, and Brenda, 6, were seriously injured in the wreck. Brenda, a first-grader at Dalton, remains in a cast from the waist down.
