Chris Fuentes this week became the ninth candidate to enter the race for two Cerritos City Council seats. Fuentes, a 27-year-old businessman, is one of a small band of community activists who regularly attend council meetings and frequently criticize council actions.
Others who have filed nomination papers with the city clerk are Mayor Daniel Wong and Planning Commission members Perry Barit and Sherman Kappe. Others are George Marsh, Faith Michels Rizzotto, Paul Bowlen, Bernard Einson and Alan D. Ulrich.
Councilman Don Knabe is not seeking reelection.
