CS Long Beach Tries to Break Fresno Jinx

FRESNO — Cal State Long Beach, which hasn’t won a basketball game here in five seasons, will play Fresno State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game tonight.
Long Beach, which had a six-game winning streak stopped by Utah State, 82-75, last Saturday night, is 13-7 overall and 7-4 in the PCAA. The fourth-place 49ers are led by guard Morlon Wiley, who is averaging 20.4 points a game.
Eighth-place Fresno is 6-13 and 3-7.
