Local News in Brief : Bus Shuttle Permit Denied

By a 3-2 vote, the Avalon City Council denied a transportation permit requested by Jerry Dunn of the Hotel Vista del Mar to provide courtesy bus service to hotel guests from the boat dock to the hotel. The council said courtesy vehicles add to traffic congestion and the city has enough taxis and trams for hotel guests. Dunn said he could not obtain an auto club’s “four diamond” rating without courtesy transportation.
