An arson fire burned about 75 acres of brush near the grounds of the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Agoura Hills on Wednesday, but county firefighters fought back the flames and no structures were damaged, authorities said.
The fire broke out about 3:10 p.m. near Cornell and Kanan roads and was contained five hours later by 150 firefighters, said county firefighter Gary Dellamalva.
Arson investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department found an incendiary device at the scene, and witnesses said they saw someone set the blaze, Deputy Hal Grant said. Investigators would not elaborate on the nature of the device. No arrests had been made Wednesday.
Two firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
