Stuart Subotnick and John W. Kluge, both directors and major shareholders of Orion Pictures of New York, and Metromedia Co., a major Orion shareholder, reported to the SEC that they purchased 1,213,500 Orion common shares on the open market between April 8 and April 29 for $15.69 to $17.07 a share. Metromedia now holds 7.3 million shares directly, while Subotnick and Kluge hold 7.3 million shares indirectly. Kluge also owns 20,000 shares directly.
