UCI’s Farmer Sets Decathlon Record

Matt Farmer of UC Irvine set a junior national record in the decathlon after one day of competition at The Athletics Congress championships in Tallahassee Thursday.
Farmer, a freshman at Irvine last year, had 3,836 points after the first five events, breaking the record held by Jim Fatx of Tennessee (3,789).
