A prisoner at County Jail in Chula Vista was stabbed by another inmate Sunday, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Glen H. McNelty, awaiting trial on a charge of possession of stolen property, was stabbed in the lower back by an unknown assailant, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Roy Hood. McNelty was treated by the jail nurse, then transfered to UCSD Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. No suspect has been identified, Hood said.
