General Electric Co.’s largest union, representing 40,000 workers, overwhelmingly ratified a new contract and 11 smaller unions were expected to follow suit, labor leaders said. Members of the International Union of Electronic Workers voted nearly 5 to 1 in favor of the three-year pact, which could give the average employee about $6,100 over the life of the contract.
