A motorist driving south on Interstate 805 on Thursday fired two shots at another vehicle for no apparent reason, San Diego police said.
Cindy Banks, 25, was passing the Murray Ridge Road off-ramp when a man driving beside her in a blue van fired two shots from a handgun, both of which hit her vehicle, said Sgt. Dan Luth. One bullet went through the hood of Banks’ car, and the other pierced the windshield and lodged in the dashboard.
Banks, who was uninjured, said she didn’t know the man and could not explain why he shot at her.
