Local News in Brief : Laguna Beach : Raid Nets 430 Pounds of Marijuana; 5 Held

Five people were being held on $800,000 bail each Friday after a drug raid in which authorities seized 430 pounds of marijuana, $62,000 in cash, five cars, three motorcycles, six rifles, five handguns and ammunition.
The arrests by Laguna Beach police Thursday were the culmination of a two-month narcotics investigation conducted in cooperation with Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators, said Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Don Barney.
Arrested were Daniel Mario Lacayo, 34, his wife Blenda Gale Lacayo, 32, and Benjamin Harold Smith, 37, all of Dana Point; Brian Wesley Nash, 34, of South Laguna, and Wayne Edward Burley, 48, of Oceanside.
