Funeral services for Baltimore Orioles owner Edward Bennett Williams have been scheduled for Tuesday, a team spokesman said. Williams died Saturday evening at Georgetown University Hospital after a 10-year battle with colon cancer. He was 68.
Funeral mass will be said Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington, said Bob Brown, Orioles public relations director. Visitation has been scheduled for tonight at the Gawler Funeral Home in Washington.
Plans also were being made for a remembrance of Williams at Tuesday’s game between the Orioles and the Oakland Athletics, Brown said.
