UCLA Freshman Tailback Kevin Williams Runs Well in Scrimmage at Rose Bowl

Kevin Williams, who until this week hadn’t participated in contact drills because of a pulled hamstring, ran for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns in 5 carries Friday during a UCLA scrimmage at the Rose Bowl.
The scoring runs by the freshman tailback covered 21 and 65 yards.
Other touchdowns were scored in the 90-play scrimmage by tight end Corwin Anthony, who teamed with quarterback Ron Caragher on a 61-yard pass play, and by freshman Sean LaChapelle, who caught a 13-yard pass from freshman quarterback Bret Johnson.
Alfredo Velasco was successful on 2 of 3 field-goal attempts, scoring from 32 and 31 yards and missing from 54 yards.
Quarterback Troy Aikman, in a limited appearance, completed 9 of 13 passes for 61 yards.
