Matthew Geiberger, the 2-year-old son of pro golfer Al Geiberger died one day after falling into a pool near his home at Indian Wells.
The boy apparently wandered away from his family’s Los Lagos home to a community swimming pool about 4 p.m. Friday, according to Riverside County sheriff’s deputies. Minutes later, his mother, Carolyn, found him floating in the pool, authorities said.
Geiberger, 50, withdrew from a tournament in Lexington, Ky., and returned home.
