Deaver’s Sentence

It might have been a “sad day” for President Reagan when he learned that Deaver was given leniency of no jail time for lying under oath about his post-government activities. But what does he or Deaver have to be “sad” about when he received such favored treatment?
When Joe Blow gets arrested and convicted for drunk driving and commits a felony as Deaver did, he can expect to go to jail.
It makes one wonder if there are two sets of laws--one for former White House aides and one for the man on the street.
