Local News in Brief : CSUN Cuts Off Spring Semester Enrollment
- Share via
For the fifth year in a row, Cal State Northridge has closed admissions early because of high numbers of freshmen and returning students at the campus, a university official said Tuesday.
The enrollment period for the spring semester, which opened in August and would normally extend through Dec. 31, was closed Oct. 3, university spokeswoman Ann Salisbury said. A continuing shortage of parking and class space at the 31,500-student university forced the early deadline, she said.
Applications for next fall’s semester will be accepted beginning Nov. 1, Salisbury said. The school is expected to accept about 7,800 applications before closing admissions, she said. Last year, applications for this fall’s semester closed in December.
