Gov. George Deukmejian will travel to Davos, Switzerland, in late January to address the annual conference of the World Economic Forum and conduct a seminar on California business, his trade adviser, Jim Robinson, said. The governor is also considering extending the trip to Frankfurt and Bonn in West Germany. Robinson said Deukmejian hopes “to raise California’s business and economic profile in Europe, which is often a greater challenge than raising it in the Pacific Rim, where we have a natural relationship.”
