MCA Inc.’s third-quarter profit increased 15% from a year ago to $54.2 million. Revenue advanced 5% to $806.7 million. The Universal City entertainment company attributed its performance to record revenue in its Music Entertainment Group and its Book Publishing Group, as well as improved performance in its toy products division, led by the sale of its Enteractive game cartridges marketed for the Nintendo entertainment system.
