As a horse owner, I am happy with the added and balanced coverage you are giving to the world of thoroughbred racing.
Grahame L. Jones’ feature on the rider Fernando Valenzuela (Nov. 30) conveyed the poignancy and spirit of racing, which, on balance, far outweighs the negative criticism that the sport often receives.
