Donning a military helmet and flak jacket, William Valenzuela on Wednesday walked back-and-forth for two hours along the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena. Valenzuela, a 56-year-old El Monte resident who served in the Marine Corps from 1977 to 1983, was among more than 300 veterans slated to “walk post” along the bridge this week to raise awareness about the 22 veterans who commit suicide every day nationwide.
